Hello, I’m Isabella Littleford, a seasoned fashion expert with a lifelong love for celebrating where elegance meets function.
Having spent more than ten years in fashion, I’ve had the honor of refining my expertise in Paris, fashion’s epicenter and partnering with renowned design icons worldwide. This journey has shaped my eye for luxury-level detail, forward-thinking design, and pieces that last. Golden Goose sneakers have long caught my attention, a brand that effortlessly marries a pre-worn character with luxury-level build quality. In this article, I’ll be sharing my personal take on various Superstar variants, diving into their style, comfort, and versatility.
Whether you obsess over every new drop or just want a reliable fashion-forward pair, I’m here to help you understand the appeal with knowledge gained through a decade in the field. Come with me as we unpack what sets these sneakers apart!
A few months back, I bought my first Golden Goose sneakers (and shared them first in this post!), and got tons of questions from you guys ever since. So many that I thought it was time for a full review! I’ve also worn them enough now that I feel like I have a good grip on their quality, and a number of other aspects about them, which you’ll find explored in this post.
So I’m answering a bunch of popular FAQs, as well as where you can find them on sale, below! Also, if you’re looking for more of my recent reviews, take a look at my Abercrombie vs. Agolde jean shorts review, Goyard tote bag breakdown, and thoughts on the Dudley Stephens fleece pullover!
Where did you score your pair?
Cettire had them on sale ggoose.org and I jumped on it right away!
I ordered them on April 28th and they were at my door by April 30th, so the shipping was super fast .
How expensive are they?
Back in April, I managed to get them for $385.43 instead of paying the full $513.91.
You can expect to pay between four hundred bucks and $1,700 depending on their level of detail.
Are they true to size?
I’d say they fit just right, based on my pair.
Since they keep their shape and they don’t come in half sizes, I’d choose the larger option.
Are they comfortable?
They felt good right away. I recommend wearing no-shows, especially since they reduce sweat. They’re made with real Italian leather, so it’s much more easy than breaking in fake leather. Bonus, they’re already softened so your feet just get comfortable fast.
Do they hold up well?
They look worn from the start, I didn’t worry about scuffing them more. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they still look great. The laces are intact, and the leather hasn’t stretched. Because they already look worn, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
How are they vs. other brands?
These are the best sneakers I own. I love my Vejas and Tretorns, but Golden Goose wins in both comfort and quality. There’s a secret wedge inside that adds support and height — making your legs look longer. Not to mention, they’re not mass-produced, so each pair is unique. And the shine on mine? Stunning.
Would you recommend them?
Absolutely! Though I suggest looking for a deal. They’re expensive, so getting them with a promo is smarter. I’d pay several hundred for the quality, especially if you find a style that suits you. I went bold with sparkle, but a minimalist version would also look great.
Where can I find them on sale?
Here are the spots I found most reliable. I had a 10/10 experience with GGoose.org, so I think they’re a great option.
- GGoose.org – where I picked up mine!
- Gilt – signing up costs nothing!
- Vestiaire Collection – it also looks like they’re offering $50 off your APP first order of $150+ with code WELCOMEUS50
- The Real Real – an awesome source for new or hardly used Golden Goose sneakers at low prices
- Ebay – tons of great scores on barely worn pairs of Golden Goose shoes
- @likeabandit – she highlights a ton of Golden Goose deals on her IG stories, keep an eye out
Where could someone find a pair like yours?
I ordered mine from Cettire when they had a limited-time deal going on.
I ordered them on April 28th and they were at my door by the 30th, so the shipping was really quick which was a major plus
What’s the cost?
When I grabbed my pair in spring, I paid $385.43, but their regular price is over $500.
You can expect to pay between four hundred bucks and $1,700 depending on their level of detail.
Are they true to size?
I’d say they fit true to size, based on my pair. Since they don’t stretch and half sizes aren’t available, I’d choose the larger option.
Are they comfortable?
Honestly, they feel great, and only took a few hours to break in.
How do they perform over time?
They look worn from the start, I didn’t worry about scuffing them more. I’ve worn them all over the city, and they still look great. Nothing has torn, and the leather hasn’t stretched.
Since the aesthetic is distressed, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
